The Furby is an electronic pet so will require batteries, it needs 4 AA batteries which are normally included but they are likely to run out quite quickly as children can spend allot of time playing with the Furby. For this reason (and for any other toy of this nature) it is a good idea to invest in some rechargeable batteries as this will save you money in the long run, they are quite cheap these days so well worth the money.
